South West UK Lions Club
A 'virtual' branch of Radstock & Midsomer Norton Lions Club (C.I.O.) registered in England & Wales: Charity No. 1187472
Serving our communities across the whole of the South West
We recently hosted 4 youths from other countries as part of the Lions Youth Camps and Exchange Program
We support a number of local organisations.
South West UK Lions support Julian House by organising and manning Checkpoint 5 at Newbridge Bath for the Circuit of Bath Walk each September. We also help with their Big Sleep Out in Bath in March each year.
Julian House supports people experiencing or at-risk of homelessness across the South West. They support people in crisis to take their next steps towards independence and security – whether they are sleeping rough, escaping domestic abuse, re-starting their life as a refugee or at risk of homelessness on leaving prison.
They run a wide range of projects across Bath and North East Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire.
South West UK Lions members living in the Keynsham area help Keynsham Foodbank by collecting donations from local supermarkets, delivering the donations to the warehouse for sorting and delivering required food to the distribution centres.
Keynsham Foodbank is part of Genesis Trust, providing food for people in Bath, Keynsham and Somer Valley areas who are facing a crisis. The emergency food parcels they give contain enough food to last between 3-5 days and enable nutritional meals to be made.
